Estate Planning | Wills & Trusts | Probate | Estate Tax
The law rewards those who plan ahead. We create plans - and guide those chosen to see them through.
Our law firm practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, and estate tax. Through our Estate Planning and Administration, we help clients plan ahead for disability, death, and taxes, managing tough subjects with a plan crafted to meet your wishes.
When the time comes for an estate plan to go into effect, we are here to help. We advise personal representatives in opening and completing probate court proceedings, and we guide Trustees in administering trusts. We also help clients navigate the after-death administration process, regardless of whether the decedent created an estate plan during life.

Areas of Practice
Estate Planning
Our planning process guides clients step-by-step through the creation of an estate plan. We work together to design and implement an estate plan that uses documents, asset titling, and beneficiary designations to meet client goals and objectives.
Wills and Trusts
A will is perhaps the most fundamental and familiar estate planning document. A living trust is essentially a will that avoids probate. We guide clients in creating, modifying, and administering wills and trusts.
Probate
In some cases, a court proceeding known as “probate” is required to transfer assets from a deceased person’s name to those inheriting. The probate process requires numerous steps and court filings to complete. We assist with all stages of the probate process.
Estate Tax
We advise clients in strategies to reduce or eliminate state and federal estate tax regarding estate tax, inheritance tax, and death tax. We also represent clients in the preparation and filing of estate tax returns, including Oregon’s Form OR-706 Estate Transfer Tax Return.
